Driver qualification criteria.

1. Minimum driving age at qualification: 23 years old.
2. Valid commercial driver’s license and endorsements for the vehicle and commodities you will transport.
3. Proof of one year commercial driving experience in the last three years, or five years within the last fifteen, pulling the equipment you will run (flatbed, step deck, van, etc.). If experience is not OTR, ELD experience will be verified; otherwise safety training may be required.
4. Current physical per FMCSR with at least half its life remaining (2-year card must have at least 1 year left). Provide medical card and long-form physical.
5. Positive controlled-substance tests are not considered unless more than five years old. A positive while operating a CMV is not considered.
6. No DUI convictions in the previous five years. No felony convictions in the previous seven years.
7. No safety-related revocation of driving privileges for moving violations in the previous five years. Non-safety revocations in the last three years are reviewed.
8. In the prior 3 years: no more than three moving violations or two preventable accidents; no more than a combination of three moving violations and preventable accidents. Serious violations (FMCSR 383.51) count as two. Applicants at company max may be placed on Safety Watch.
9. If MVR and PSP meet criteria but there is 1 DOT preventable in the past year, the file goes to safety for review.
10. Past 30-day logs may be requested in pre-qualification.
11. Consent to PSP. More than 2 OOS violations on PSP goes to safety for training.
